โ–ถSummary

Multi-actors EducatioNal impacT mOdels for childRen: a Sport-centric approach โ€“ โ€œMENTORSโ€ is a 30-month Cooperation Project, aiming to widen the role of referees to the field of children education, by taking advantage of the previous findings in the project of CP Sport Sport4Rules (role of referee was investigated as mean to face racism and violence in sport) finalized by the most of consortium. Modelling new collaboration systems with parents and sport coaches to let children grow in line with right sport values is the driving factor of MENTORS project. Sports can provide children with many benefits, including physical fitness, socialization, teamwork, and character development. When children participate in sports, they have the opportunity to learn important values such as respect, fairness, perseverance, and responsibility. These values can help children develop a strong sense of self-discipline, integrity, and sportsmanship, which can be applied both on and off the playing field. Additionally, participation in sports can help children develop important life skills, such as goal-setting, time management, and decision-making. These skills can be applied to all areas of life, including academic and professional pursuits. Within this context, MENTORS set the following specific objectives. Objective 1: Research and collect data on how to have an active role in the sport education of children and how to prevent impact factors from affecting it. Objective 2: Educate parents, referees, and sports coaches about the right practices and behaviours to foster children's growth according to the right sport values. Objective 3: Create new positive, healthy, and protected growing models for children and share them with the stakeholders and policymakers. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
