Beyond gender: Breaking stereotypes through sport

In general, the project aims to create a sports and educational project aimed at actualising the fight against the problems associated with the influence of gender stereotypes on parents, namely those stereotypes related to their children's sports activities. The project is aimed at directly counteracting the consequences of these stereotypes, as well as at raising parents' awareness of the importance of supporting their children and creating a favourable environment for sports. The target audience of the project includes the following categories: - Organisations whose statutory objectives include educational work among parents, as well as individuals, specialists and consultants working in the field of educational support for parents. - Children's and youth sports schools/sports clubs; The ultimate beneficiaries of the project are parents whose children are involved in sports or are just planning to start training. The process of implementing this project includes the following objectives: - Conducting a parallel sociological survey among children and parents on the impact of gender stereotypes on children's sports activities; - Preparation of a training programme and development of methodological recommendations that will be used by the target audience as a tool for working with parents in terms of counteracting the influence of gender stereotypes and creating a favourable environment for their children's sports activities; - Conducting trainings for representatives of the target audience to familiarise them with the training programme, the importance of its implementation in the process of working with parents and the relevance of its goal in terms of the development of modern social relations; - Conducting trainings for parents, which will be conducted by representatives of the project target audience in Ukraine and partner countries who have completed the training course that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
