SAFE - SUPPORTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR
▶Summary
The SAFE project aims to support the physical, psychological and social well-being of people with disabilities and their companions through sport and green sport activities. In this context, a consortium was formed with You Be the First Association from Turkey, Hellas for Us from Greece and EuroAmerican Association of Sport Science from Spain. Our project aims to strengthen the integration of individuals into society, promote environmental sustainability and create an inclusive society by combining the individual and social dimensions of sport. Within the framework of the project, various activities are planned to support people with disabilities and their companions to overcome the physical, social and emotional challenges they face. These activities include seminars focusing on psychological well-being, environmentally sensitive sports activities, vocational trainings and activities promoting social integration. In addition, the project aims to share knowledge and experiences through digital platforms and social media campaigns to ensure the sustainability and long-term impact of the project. The SAFE project will produce three main outputs for people with disabilities and their companions: a Digital Action Plan, an Inspirational Podcast Series and a Digital Magazine where people with disabilities share their experiences. While the Digital Activity Plan increases accessibility by covering sports and health activities, the Podcast Series translates the success stories of people with disabilities in the field of sports into different languages to reach a wide audience. The Digital Magazine tells in their own words about the personal development of people with disabilities and the positive impact of sports on their lives. These outputs aim to support the social integration of people with disabilities by raising social awareness. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
