▶Summary
The GRASSHEALTH project seeks to enhance the capabilities of grassroots football coaches in Europe by providing comprehensive physiotherapy training. This initiative is designed to improve safety, performance, and overall well-being of players by equipping coaches with skills in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. Targeting grassroots coaches and benefiting players and local sports organizations, the project addresses the urgent need for better health and safety protocols in amateur sports. Structured across three main work packages—Project Management, Training Development, and Dissemination—GRASSHEALTH offers a well-rounded approach to education and skills development. The project will deliver a modular curriculum that includes workshops and online training sessions, ensuring wide accessibility and adaptability to various learning preferences. Key activities include developing and implementing a curriculum that covers essential physiotherapy knowledge, creating digital and physical training materials, and conducting validation workshops and webinars to reinforce learning. With a strong focus on sustainable practices and digital integration, GRASSHEALTH aligns with EU health and sports policies, promoting lifelong physical activity and safer sporting environments. By improving the qualifications of coaches, the project not only boosts the quality of grassroots sports but also fosters a healthier, more engaged sporting community across Europe. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
