โ–ถSummary

The ALICE project introduces a mobile sports unit, the Alice Truck, to bring sports directly to children in poverty in rural and marginalized urban areas. This truck is equipped to provide various sports activities and travels to places where traditional sports facilities are absent or inaccessible. The project targets at least 600 children, planning to cover over 30 distinct locations. It aims to overcome geographical and socioeconomic barriers that restrict access to sports. The Alice Truck serves as a practical solution to the absence of local sports associations and the isolation experienced by children in disadvantaged areas. It delivers not just sports training but also an opportunity for these children to engage in physical activity, which is crucial for their health and personal development. Sports activities are known to foster teamwork, leadership, and resilience, skills essential for social and educational success. Through its regular visits, the Alice Truck ensures that children have consistent access to sports, making it a part of their routine. The initiative also involves training local individuals as coaches, which not only helps in the project's immediate goals but also builds local capacity to continue these activities independently in the future. This approach not only enriches the children's daily lives but also promotes social inclusion, allowing children from different backgrounds to come together, interact, and learn from one another. Addressing the lack of sports infrastructure with a traveling sports hub, ALICE fills a vital gap in these communities and sets a foundation for lasting impact. This innovative approach leverages sports as a powerful tool for community development and personal growth, ensuring that children living in isolation or poverty can enjoy the benefits of sports and physical education. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
