โ–ถSummary

The SAILWITHHER project addresses gender imbalance in sailing by empowering women to participate in water sports and promoting sustainable practices. A key activity is the Sustainable Sailing International Training, where 18 participants will learn essential sailing skills in a supportive, multicultural environment. This week-long training aims to enrich participants' personal and professional growth while fostering empowerment. 60 participants will join local sustainable national trainings in various countries, offering women who cannot attend the international event a chance to engage and build local communities of female sailors. These events will further inclusivity and encourage participation in water sports. An online awareness campaign will reach a larger audience through social media and creative content, spreading the message and inspiring women globally. The project will also produce: Sailing Forward: A Handbook for Empowering Women in Water Sports, which will compile valuable content from the international training. This freely accessible resource will cover sailing techniques, gender equality in sports, and eco-friendly practices, benefiting coaches, trainers, and sailors alike. By creating opportunities for women in sailing, fostering environmental responsibility, and building a European network of empowered female sailors, SAILWITHHER champions gender equality and sustainability in water sports. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
