The Don't (meno) PAUSE project empowers menopausal women (ages 40-60) through physical activity and digital community-building. It unites 6 partners from 6 European countries (Croatia, Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, and Ukraine) to break stigma, improve well-being, and promote sustainable health practices through sport. Key results: Educational resources: Digital handbook integrating 100+ real-life menopause experiences into evidence-based guidelines (translated into 6 partner languages + English). 20 expert-led video modules: - 10 exercise-focused (led by kinesiologists or trainers), - 5 nutrition and 5 mental well-being videos (led by nutritionists and psychologists). Interactive digital platform and community: - MenoTalks virtual space, engaging 200+ women (ages 40-60) through support and expert discussions. - 20+ live expert-led sessions and open-access educational resources (OERs) across the EU. Community-based sports events: - "Sport in Menopause" events in 5 countries, each engaging 30+ women, featuring real-life success stories. - Awareness campaigns with organizations and womenโs groups. EU Policy and sustainability contribution: Aligns with Erasmus+ Sport priority: Encouraging healthy lifestyles for all, and supports EU Work Plan for Sport (2021โ2024), WHO Europe physical activity strategy (2016โ2025), and HEPA Policy Audit Tool (2024). The initiative enhances awareness and support for menopause through sport, ensuring long-term impact by providing digital resources, community networks, and expert-led guidance for women's health and well-being.
