โ–ถSummary

The three-year project "Aging is a Myth" is designed to encourage active and healthy aging among seniors across Europe. The project takes a holistic approach, focusing on both physical activity and social engagement, aiming to improve the overall well-being of older adults. By promoting movement, sports participation, and a sense of community, the initiative challenges the common perception of aging as a period of decline and instead highlights the possibilities for vitality, fitness, and an active lifestyle at any age. One of the key components of the project is a series of six track events held in different partner countries. These events will serve as both a motivational tool and an opportunity for seniors to engage in friendly competition, experience new environments, and connect with like-minded individuals from various cultural backgrounds. The events will showcase the abilities of older adults and inspire others to stay physically active as they age. To ensure continuous involvement, weekly training sessions will be organized for participants in each partner country. These sessions, led by professional coaches and sports experts, will focus on improving participantsโ€™ running techniques, endurance, strength, and flexibility. The goal is to provide structured and enjoyable physical activity that supports long-term engagement in sports while reducing the risk of injury. Additionally, the sessions will create a supportive community where participants can motivate and encourage each other. To maximize accessibility and outreach, the project will also include an informative website and brochures. These resources will provide essential information about the benefits of active aging, practical training tips, event details, and success stories from participants. The website will serve as a platform for sharing experiences, tracking progress, and fostering a strong network of active seniors across Europe. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
