GOLF4GENS - GOLF for GENERATIONS with mission:
โถSummary
GOLF4GENS is a unique initiative that reimagines grassroots golf as a catalyst for sustainability, innovation, and social inclusion across Europe. By embedding Circular Economy (CE) principles, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and advanced digital tools, the project transforms golf courses into centres of environmental stewardship and intergenerational learning. At its core, GOLF4GENS leverages the GOLFBRIDGE model, a future-focused framework that integrates STEM-based education, digital gamification, and sustainability-driven training, revolutionising the way golf is played, taught, and managed. Through a pan-European partnership, the project brings together golf federations, research institutions, schools, and local communities to create an ecosystem where young athletes, coaches, and senior mentors collaborate to build a greener and more inclusive sporting future. Key innovations include: - AI-powered learning assistants and augmented reality (AR) tools to enhance sustainability literacy. - Micro-credentials and dual-career pathways, equipping participants with green skills for lifelong employability. - Pilot initiatives in underserved regions, ensuring equitable access to sports and environmental education. - The GOLF4GENS Digital Multi-Actor Platform (MAP), a pioneering virtual knowledge hub fostering CE and NbS in grassroots golf. Aligned with the European Green Deal, EU Biodiversity Strategy, and Erasmus+ priorities, GOLF4GENS is a project redefining golf as a driver of climate resilience, social impact, and digital innovation. By embedding sustainability at the heart of grassroots golf, this initiative empowers communities, enhances sports performance, and creates a lasting green legacy for future generations. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
