โ–ถSummary

The JUDO4CO project tackles childhood obesity by integrating medical expertise with judo-based physical activity and long-term engagement strategies. It establishes a sustainable support system through partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and judo clubs to improve children's physical, psychological, and social well-being. The project prioritizes inclusion, gender equality, and non-discrimination, using flexible project management to adapt and continuously improve. JUDO4CO follows a structured methodology with preparation, implementation, and dissemination phases, supported by quality control and regular feedback. Activities include developing and testing training programs, conducting pilot sessions, and creating guidelines for broader adoption. Progress is monitored through evaluation tools that track health improvements, physical activity levels, and overall well-being. The project also emphasizes eco-friendly practices and ensures sustainability through capacity-building and strong local partnerships. JUDO4CO's key contribution is the long-term integration of obese children into lifelong physical activity. It will create a recruitment system linking obesity treatment programs with ongoing sports participation, which has been developed and tested in three countries. This system will continue beyond the project's duration, offering lasting benefits for obese children and serving as a replicable model for other EU countries. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
