Summary

Move and Health Care (MAHC) is a 12-month small collaborative partnership coordinated by the Ligue Pays de la Loire du Sport d’Entreprise (LPDL) in partnership with Arteveldehogeschool (AUAS) and the French Federation for Company Sport (FFSE) aimed at promoting sport and physical activity in the hospital and healthcare workplaces to preserve and enhance the mental and physical health and wellbeing of healthcare and hospital staff through a digital tool showcasing accessible interactive videos (subtitles, audio descriptions, translation) with realistic scenarios to ensure the best experience possible for all, including people with disabilities and health related contents to follow at work at any time and without sweating. The project addresses the need to offer adequate opportunities for sport and physical activity at work, raising awareness and building knowledge of company sport for a healthier lifestyle and promoting its benefits. The project has identified a key active population which concerns the whole of the European Union and their member states, healthcare and hospital staff. Furthermore, in accordance with the vision of engaging healthcare workers as a whole, the project will target all family of jobs such as administrative healthcare workers, logistics jobs workers (cleaners, stretcher bearer...) as well as frontline workers (doctors, caretakers and nurses...) with a range of activities that cater to diverse needs. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone, from sedentary workers to physically strained workers, can add some physical and mental wellbeing in their work routine for some personal wellbeing The general focus and objective of the project of promoting sport and physical activity in the hospital and healthcare workplaces to preserve and enhance the mental and physical health and wellbeing of hospital staff through a digital platform demonstrates a practical and innovative approach to fostering a more active and health-conscious society. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
