I-PLAY - Inclusive Heritage Games - Practice, Learn,
โถSummary
Vision: I-PLAY (Inclusive Heritage Games - Practice, Learn, Appreciate, and You(th)) envisions a Europe where traditional sports serve as a bridge for social inclusion, cultural preservation, and active citizenship, ensuring that young people and marginalized communities benefit from engaging, educational, and health-enhancing activities. Problem Detected: Traditional games are disappearing due to modern sports trends, globalization, and lack of institutional support, leading to decreased community engagement, social exclusion, and sedentary lifestyles. Vulnerable groups, including migrants, women, and persons with disabilities, face barriers to sports participation, contributing to inequality and health disparities. Solution: I-PLAY addresses these issues by integrating traditional sports into education and community-based activities, fostering intergenerational learning, gender equality, and inclusive participation. The project will: + Train 100+ educators and youth workers to implement traditional sports. + Engage 500+ participants in transnational and local events. + Develop an online platform with open-access learning resources. + Create 5+ policy recommendations for institutional adoption. Desired Impact: I-PLAY will create a sustainable model for inclusive sports, ensuring traditional games remain a vital part of European culture and education. By leveraging digital tools, community-driven events, and policy advocacy, the project will empower educators, strengthen communities, and promote healthier lifestyles, leaving a lasting impact across Europe. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
