β–ΆSummary

SPARK Through Martial Arts: Strength, Physical Activity, Resilience, and Knowledge for Healthier Lives is a Small-scale Partnership designed to promote healthy lifestyles among children and youth by promoting the benefits of martial arts by addressing key societal challenges such as sedentary behavior, digital addiction, unhealthy eating habits, and mental well-being. The project enhances the capacity of martial arts clubs, fosters community engagement, and encourages physical activity among youngsters. To achieve these objectives, SPARK implements diverse activities, including open training sessions, school visits, educational workshops on nutrition and digital well-being, a summer camp, and public demonstrations during the European Week of Sport. These activities provide opportunities for young people to engage in structured physical activity, adopt healthier lifestyles, and strengthen their mental resilience. SPARK is fully aligned with the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021–2024, supporting health-enhancing physical activity, social cohesion, and sustainable sports development. Additionally, it contributes to key Erasmus+ priorities, including Participation & Civic Engagement by fostering active community involvement, Environmental Sustainability through responsible sports practices, Digital Dimension by tackling digital addiction, and Inclusion & Diversity by making martial arts accessible to a wider audience. By empowering local sports clubs with the skills and experience to engage in transnational cooperation, SPARK creates a foundation for long-term impact beyond the project’s duration. It showcases martial arts as a powerful tool for fostering physical and mental well-being, mental resilience, inspiring other martial art clubs across Europe to adopt similar approaches. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
