Natures classroom - NATURE'S CLASSROOM –
▶Summary
NATURE'S CLASSROOM - Outdoor Sports in harmony with nature as a path to biodiversity protection. Nature’s Classroom is an Erasmus+ Sport project that integrates outdoor sports with environmental conservation, aiming to raise awareness of biodiversity protection and sustainability among athletes, coaches, volunteers, and young people. The project promotes responsible interaction with nature through a combination of educational workshops, ecological actions, and community engagement. Key activities include training sessions with experts in ecology and sustainability, hands-on biodiversity and environmental protection workshops for sports club members and school children, as well as practical initiatives such as clean-up events in areas where sports activities take place. Outdoor sports such as hiking, cycling, sailing, rowing, parkour, and open-water swimming serve as a medium for fostering environmental responsibility. Additionally, the project will develop an online platform featuring educational materials, toolkits for organizing eco-friendly sports events, and best practice guidelines for sustainable sports activities. By actively involving local communities, schools, and sports organizations, Nature’s Classroom aims to create a long-term impact by promoting sustainable habits, improving environmental awareness, and fostering a culture of ecological responsibility within the sports sector. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
