β–ΆSummary

Women and girls in grassroots football face persistent barriers - including limited career support, financial constraints, underrepresentation in leadership, and sustainability gaps in sports management. HER Futbol Future (HFF) is a transformative Erasmus+ project designed to empower girls and women in football through education, leadership development, and sustainability-driven innovation. Built on the Football-for-Learning model, HFF combines 54 football events, 18 hybrid workshops, and 18 digital micro-learning resources across four countries. These activities will provide inclusive, high-quality training on dual careers, leadership, digital skills, physical and mental health and well-being, and eco-friendly sports management. The project also delivers two key legacy resources: The Sustainable Football Toolkit (a practical guide for grassroots clubs on eco-friendly event management) and The European Handbook for Women’s Football & Inclusion (strategies to promote long-term gender equity in sports). Led by a diverse, cross-sector consortium from Slovakia, Czechia, Spain, and Serbia, HFF aligns with Erasmus+ priorities, including education through sport, inclusion and diversity, sustainability, and digital transformation. The project will directly benefit 1600+ females and sports professionals, while reaching 35,000+ online users through its innovative digital learning component. By fostering cross-border cooperation, equipping grassroots clubs with sustainable practices, and empowering the next generation of female leaders in football, HFF creates a replicable, high-impact model for inclusive and eco-conscious sports education across Europe. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
