Summary

Karate, and sport, is a well-known way to foster health, personal development and social integration of young people. Based on a consortium of karate clubs, and a Coordinator experienced in communication campaigns, “Karate. More than sport!” will achieve as result: a Karate Inclusion and Cooperation Programme - intervention for young people, with disadvantaged background in particular, developed involving youth in Poland, Slovakia and Denmark. The Programme will function as an educational tool to foster health, personal development and social integration of young people. It will be developed thanks to: Online consultation and exchange of experiences between karate coaches, sport psychologist from and experts in the field of sport (1 days online) and implemented and experimented by Training of karate coaches (2 days online) and Open International Training in Poland (2 days). It will focus on the topics: Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, - Vulnerable groups and sports, - An introduction to mental training, - Motivation and stress in sport, - Effective cooperation between sport clubs (including transnational cooperation). It will also be made available as an open e-learning educational resource - Karate. More than sport! - self-pace e-learning tool with virtual trainer, video tutorials and infographics. It will be translated to the national language of the participating countries and English. The Programme will be designed in a way that can be replicated and used by other sport clubs and educational institutions. The Programme and the project will be thoroughly advertised and promoted by means of social media and online campaign, brochures, project logo, infographics and promotional video on the project. The dissemination campaign will promote the importance of inclusion, diversity in sport and youth and Erasmus programme’s values.
