YouACA4seniors - YouACA4Seniors - Intergenerational
โถSummary
Coordinated by an International Sports Confederation (CSIT/AT) with a partnership of 5 national grassroots sport organisations (AICS/IT, TUL/FI, UCEC/ES, HOCSH/GR, DAI/DK), YouACA4Seniors aims at implementing an intergenerational methodology to strengthen collaboration between young people (18โ30) and seniors (55+) in grassroots sports organizations. By fostering knowledge exchange, skill development, and social inclusion, the project enhances sports participation for seniors while equipping young people with leadership skills. The needs analysis at EU level will identify best practices and specific needs of seniors 55+, laying the foundation for a sports program consisting of 3 innovative activities to involve more seniors to grassroots sport organisations. National intergenerational teams will participate at the International Workshop in Austria, to co-design one innovative activity each and develop recommendations on organizing sports activities and events for seniors, creating the first draft of the YouACA4senior toolkit. The workshop will involve around 30 people at EU level. Upon on the draft, the partners will implement a 16-hour pilot program involving at least 60 participants for each country (300 at EU level), testing the activities at national level and gathering feedback to finalize the toolkit. The final YouACA4Seniors Toolkit will provide structured guidance for intergenerational sports engagement and description of the innovative activities. At the final conference results and local impact will be presented, accompaigned by an online handbook, that will include the presentation of the technical regulations of the innovative sport program for seniors 55+, engaging and audience of 200 sport executives, managers, coaches and opinion leaders. The project will ensure the dissemination of activities to other grassroots sports organizations, reaching more than 1.000 individual people and and 275.000 online contacts. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
