β–ΆSummary

Adventure racing has gained huge popularity recently. This presents both an opportunity as people are willing to engage in physical activity, but also a threat, because most often they are undereducated about human body and biomechanics. Aim of this project is to use cutting edge technology for analysis of their movement patterns, reinforce the correct ones, identify the wrong ones, analyze them and an improvement - all within one day. Result is healthier activity. Core activities of this projects are trail adventure racing camps, where athletes from different countries will meet on training sessions, their movement patterns will be analyzed and improved in the field. Another part of these camps is education of coaches based on our analysis. We plan to take 3 male and 3 female athletes and 8 coaches from each partner to our training camps. There the athletes' running will be analyzed and coaches will learn complete metodology of coaching/training of different disciplines of adventure racing. We have a specific dissemination strategy in place to reach more target groups (coaches, clubs, general public) and maximize impact. We expect to help athletes stay injury-free and contribution to health of adventure racers and athletes in general. We will produce complete training methodology of running based on our findings and our data. We will share complete metodology of this analysis, as well as suggestions to athletes, coaches and physiotherapists. We will also compile set of guidelines on racing, race organization for all parties of this sport and these guidelines will include topics such as climate awareness, fight against climate change, respect, inclusion and diversity. We expect gradually to have an impact through whole EU because project members have the tools to to reach much bigger audience the results are applicable to the whole sport. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
