FAIR PLAYS - Fighting Abuse & Inequality through
โถSummary
The FAIR PLAYS project addresses a major challenge in the sports sector: the fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Despite legislative progress and political commitments, these issues persist and remain insufficiently integrated into the training of sports professionals. Yet, awareness and education are essential tools for preventing violence and ensuring a safer, more inclusive, and respectful sports environment. To tackle this issue, FAIR PLAYS relies on a European consortium of five partners specializing in education and sports. The project follows a structured approach: first, it will conduct a needs assessment among teachers, trainers, and students to better understand their expectations. Then, it will develop innovative educational content tailored to real-world situations. These resources will be tested and refined based on user feedback to ensure their effectiveness and relevance. In concrete terms, FAIR PLAYS will produce accessible and interactive educational materials, including case studies, online training modules, and practical tools to help teachers and trainers integrate SGBV prevention into their programs. These resources will be hosted on a multilingual digital platform, ensuring widespread dissemination and accessibility across Europe. By fully aligning with European priorities in equality, education, and inclusion, FAIR PLAYS aims to transform the training of future sports professionals. Through transnational cooperation, the project will help drive lasting change in professional practices, fostering a culture of prevention and awareness throughout the sports sector. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
