β–ΆSummary

The project promotes sustainable outdoor sports and active tourism in rural and peri-urban European mountain regions, addressing inefficiencies while fostering social inclusion, environmental responsibility, and year-round economic opportunities. Using gamification, eco-volunteering, and digital tools, it encourages behavioral change and creates new participation models in sports tourism, supporting the Erasmus+ Sports priorities of inclusivity, sustainability, and active citizenship. The project is structured into five work packages (WPs): WP1 – Governance & Coordination: Ensuring project management, financial oversight, and risk control. WP2 – Co-creation & Sports Policy: Engaging stakeholders in sustainable sports tourism frameworks. WP3 – Community Participation & Social Impact: Implementing eco-volunteering, outdoor sports, and training programs for sports clubs, policymakers, and youth organizations. WP4 – Implementation & Digital Innovation: Developing interactive events, gamified sports engagement (Green Passport), and digital participation tools. WP5 – Dissemination & Sustainability: Creating policy recommendations, communication materials, and training resources. The project will engage over 1,000 participants, including sports practitioners, eco-tourists, youth organizations, policymakers, and local sports clubs. Specific targets include 50+ stakeholders in co-creation workshops, 200+ young people in eco-volunteering and outdoor sports, and 500+ users of the Green Passport. Expected outcomes include increased participation in sustainable sports tourism, enhanced digital engagement, stronger regional policies, and a lasting impact on environmental and social sustainability. Outputs include two policy reports, three pilot sports initiatives, a gamification platform, training materials, and media campaigns, ensuring the project’s long-term impact and scalability within Erasmus+ Sports. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
