Summary

Within the framework of the project “kuska”, materials are being developed on the questions currently facing international development cooperation. They will be uploaded onto a website for anyone to use free of charge. The goal is to work towards an understanding for global interdependence, tackling inter-cultural challenges as well as the functionality in development cooperation. The resources readied for this purpose will enable young people to take reflective action based on solidarity. The skills which they will acquire by using these resources could be useful not just for their future experience abroad, but also for their future career. The project „kuska“ is a follow-up project of the project „LERNEN HELFEN LERNEN“ which includes a website, a model exhibiton, a short animation film and preparatory trainings for prospective volunteers. The project „kuska“ complements these materials with e-learning modules about different topics in the area of development cooperation, workshop proposals für schools, information sheets on different topics and templates for work placements abroad. Additionally, a collection of useful and interesting links was compiled and ideas for talks and events were assembled. The aim is that organizations, teachers and other interested parties can use education materials free of charge, thereby transferring knowledge about development cooperation with little time. The project was undertaken by four organizations from Liechtenstein, Italy and Germany. Three of these organizations work in the field of development cooperation and one in the field of arts. The interdisciplinary composition of the team facilitated the development of demanding and attractive materials for both teaching and learning. All materials of both projects „LERNEN HELFEN LERNEN“ and „kuska“ are available free of charge in German, English and partly also in Italian and Spanish.
