β–ΆSummary

1.) Basic information: "Academy of Modern Patriotism" is a multi-elemental educational project addressed primarily to young people aged 15-19. 2.) The aim of the Academy is to promote European values ​​and to promote high quality youth work through the use of modern methods of cooperation. 3.) The academy was run by the Jagiellonian Club with the support of the Polish Discussion Club in Lithuania (Lenku Diskusiju Klubas) and the informal, though informal, support of members of the Koduj dla Polski Association, which promotes new technologies in social activities. 4.) A description of the actions taken: Among the activities undertaken during the Academy should be the following: 1. Carry out comprehensive social research on a representative sample of 2006 high school students from all over Poland. The research focused on the civic and social activity of young people, the authorities, the values ​​they build on their future, their opinions on the education system and the teaching methods they use, as well as how to spend their free time and readiness for additional activity. Research was the basis for further design activities. 2. International project meeting of representatives of involved organizations, to prioritize, milestones and cooperation. 3. Youth work aimed at creating 40 educational materials developed in three languages ​​(Polish, English, Lithuanian) 4. Conceptual, IT, programming, graphic and content-related work on the internet tool under the final name of POLITIKON (www.politikon.org.pl) - Internet tool has been translated into English and Lithuanian. 5. International dissemination meetings - the first dissemination meeting held in Cracow (PL) gathered over 120 high school students from all over Poland and representatives of the CAC. The second meeting (July) took place in Vilnius (LT) with the participation of several dozen delegates from PKD and Polish participants. During the meetings there was a presentation of the internet tool, possibility of direct discussion about the principles and mechanism of operation and a model presentation of the way of using. 5.) Durable results: 1. Internet educational and playground platform "Politikon" 2. 40 educational materials in three languages ​​- Polish, Lithuanian and English 3. Report on sociological research 6.) Long-term benefits - both Politikon and educational materials are included in the "Patriotic Modern Academy" project, which is being implemented in 160 schools across Poland, ensuring the sustainability and continuity of the project.
