Summary

The project YouthNest.crea “Transnational incubator of creative entrepreneurship in the European rural areas” aims to develop a virtual and on-site ecosystem of support, advice, encouragement, training, stimulation and opportunity to shape innovative ideas for the empowerment of the young people in their professional development, as well as to foster the entrepreneurial culture and self-employment among them; and thus, to provide opportunities for the creative entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Europe. In order o do so, a transnational network composed by professionals from six project partner entities (Concello de Vedra -ES, Stichting Business Development Friesland -NL, Comune di Capannori -IT, Newry and Morne Co-Operative Ltd -UK, Obec Zemplinske Hamre -SK and Associação Juvenil de Deão -PT), will be created to lay the foundations of a Transnational incubator; moreover, the network will work throughout the 24 months of the project lifetime (September 2017 - August 2019), in order to jointly develop innovative and high quality methodologies, mechanisms, tools and contents, as well as, to implement a Program of pilot actions that will aim: • to foster entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurship in rural Europe as a way of creating self-employment among young people • to improve the entrepreneurial skills and competences of of young entrepreneurs • to value the endogenous potential of rural areas and ensure the preservation and sustainability of their resources through creative and innovative entrepreneurship models Once the project is completed, the elaboration of a joint Sustainability and transfer plan will allow the creation of a common collaborative framework that will ensure the continuity of the Transnational incubator articulated within the framework of the project; furthermore, the Plan will seek the intention of other EU entities and territories to join the European Collaborative Network for the promotion of innovative practices of youth entrepreneurship in the European rural areas.
