Summary

Background The project was designed uniting the experience collected in difference projects on related topics (e.g. entrepreneurship, gender equality, inclusion). We realized that there were specific needs that were not being met on the topic of female entrepreneurship and equal opportunities of all genders. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming financial crisis made it more difficult for young women to find suitable jobs. Initiating an own project is a good option instead of "waiting for the dream job” and it still is a fact that Europe’s economy is depending on SMEs and will be even more so in the future. Entrepreneurship and business are traditionally a man’s domain, but there is a growing interest among women to learn how to establish and run their own business, especially in times of severe unemployment and social difficulties. Women in entrepreneurship are a great source for growth in Europe; however women require different approaches than men. This is why we aimed at developing specific tools and measures that support young women who would like to start their own business/project through CHEER YOU @P. Objectives The main objectives of this project were: - to innovate entrepreneurship education including coaching and mentoring skills of youth workers/trainers/teachers by fostering personal and technical resilience in a digital era - to foster educational skills of youth workers/trainers/teachers supporting them to overcome gender stereotypes in their working environments with youth - to identify, design and pilot entrepreneurial ecosystems supporting female entrepreneurs in the different partner countries - to improve digital literacy and entrepreneurial competences of both youth workers and young women with fewer opportunities to overcome additional obstacles to develop their professional career and skills - to create a positive impact & spread entrepreneurial spirit during COVID19-crisis through a sustainable (digital) network uniting changemakers all over EU Implementation The project´s main activities were: - ONLINE SURVEY on female entrepreneurship and supporting mechanisms in each country - MAPPING ENTREPRENEURIAL ECO-SYSTEMS with focus on support for female entrepreneurs including BEST PRACTICES examples of each partner country. -CREATION of interactive training modules and our ONLINE-GUIDANCE-PLATFORM to support peer-to-peer transnational learning experiences and fostering of entrepreneurial skills and digital literacy wiht video compilation with role models, best practices and practical experiences on the topic. -Training course for 16 youth workers/teachers in Greece on DIGITAL LEARNING METHODS and INNOVATIVE ICT-TOOLS & ONLINE FACILITATION TECHNIQUES -Training Course in Austria for 20 youth workers/teachers on innovative approaches to LEADERSHIP, MENTORING and COACHING SKILLS to support young women with fewer opportunities on their career path -5 Multiplier events at local level with at least 100 external participants in total. -Creation of webpage and Facebook page that shared news related to the project - 4 newsletters with relevant information related to CHEER You@P & female entrepreneurship -Setting up Cooperation Agreements with external stakeholders to enhance the sustainable use of the project´s results. Achievements The concrete outputs are: 1) ONLINE SURVEY on female entrepreneurship and supporting mechanisms in each country 2) MAPPING ENTREPRENEURIAL ECO-SYSTEMS with focus on support for female entrepreneurs, including BEST PRACTICE examples of each partner country. 3) CREATION of interactive training modules and our ONLINE-GUIDANCE-PLATFORM to support peer-to-peer transnational learning experiences and fostering of entrepreneurial skills and digital literacy including video compilation with role models, best practices and practical experiences on the topic. 4) 2 LTTAs (1 in Greece, 1 in Austria) for the target group of female entrepreneurs and those youth workers (/mentors/ teachers guiding them towards success. 4) 5 Cooperation Agreements (1 per country) signed with relevant thematic stakeholders with outreach to our target group of young women wanting to or already setting up their own business.
