Incubator for young people

Background The decision to apply for the project stemmed from a recognition of the pressing needs within the local communities and organizations involved. The partners identified several key challenges that needed to be addressed: Capacity Building: There was a clear understanding among the partners that building capacity within their organizations and among their staff and volunteers was essential. Strengthening skills and expertise was seen as a crucial step to enhance the quality of youth work and support provided to young people. Skill Enhancement: Recognizing that staff and volunteers engaged in youth work possessed general skills but lacked specific expertise in key areas, the need for skill enhancement, particularly in the realm of employability, was identified. This skill gap needed to be bridged to better guide young people, especially in making informed choices related to their employability and future prospects. Quality Improvement: The partners aimed to improve the quality of the services and support they offered to young people. By providing effective advice, mentoring, and support, the goal was to enhance the overall provision for young people, ensuring they received the necessary guidance to navigate the complexities of the employment landscape. International Perspective: The partners acknowledged the value of international perspectives in addressing local challenges. Past experiences with foreign volunteers highlighted the importance of diverse viewpoints. Foreign volunteers, with their fresh outlook and different cultural backgrounds, were able to ask questions that encouraged local people to see situations differently. This diversity in perspectives was seen as a catalyst for positive change within the community. Bringing Fresh Ideas: The partners aimed to infuse new energy into the local communities. They recognized that fresh ideas and innovative approaches were necessary to bring about meaningful change, especially in areas facing difficulties. The transnational dimension of the project was viewed as an opportunity to introduce new ideas, perspectives, and solutions, thereby revitalizing the community and instigating positive transformation. In summary, the decision to apply for the project was driven by a collective recognition of the need for capacity building, skill enhancement, and the introduction of innovative ideas. By embracing the transnational aspect of the project and leveraging the expertise of foreign volunteers, the partners aimed to create a positive and lasting impact within their communities, fostering positive change and offering new opportunities for the young people they served. Objectives To enable staff / volunteers to build their skills and knowledge in the area of community involvement young people through transnational co-operation the ability to share, learn and pilot new ideas and with active dissemination share the lessons widely beyond the partnership at both general and key target audience level (for example other youth sector providers, young people, politicians, decision makers). To target the young people who are leaving the area or who don’t know what to do in their future to make them discover the entrepreneurship possibilities. To create system that gives young people the knowledge, the tools and competences necessary for them to create their own project and by thus their own future but it is also a way for them to be able to empower themselves for their future life. This will be possible thanks to the development of competences for the participants during the project as such as communication, adaptation, multiculturality but also online work, project creation and management competences. Moreover, we realize that instead of trying to find solutions for them, it will be interesting to give to the young people the possibility to create their own activities, thanks to the implementation of local community projects. To pilot new ideas, use new skills to enhance the learning offer to young people at partner level. We will create and implement in the different areas partners, a change or improvement in the cities so that the cities can evolve and find a new image, other than the ones of “black cities” they have now. Result: PRESENTATION OF 10 ways to overcome barriers to youth involvement see attachement 4) Implementation by the local communities with assitency of our participants We developed international communications between youth communities to develop local community projects and gave to the participants the necessary tools to be able to transmit their knowledge and accompanied Result: IMPLEMENTATION community projects by the local participants.
