Summary

Background The idea of the project was to create support tools for young people in crisis and experiencing parallel crises (homelessness, addictions, violence, poverty) and specialists working with youth. During the implementation of the tasks, we emphasized the specificity of the target group, which is treated as adults in the support systems. The project focused on the needs and forms of support for youth and young adults. The developed tools are available on the website in the languages of all partner countries and in English. The work on the project involved organizations from 6 European countries (Poland, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Romania and Portugal) that specialize in various areas of work with young people in crisis (homelessness, addictions, disability, digitization, violence). Thanks to this cooperation, high-quality tools were created for cardholders working with youth, as well as materials for young people, which facilitate finding support in the partner countries. Targeting this target group is innovative in the support system because it is focused on their needs and is aligned with emotional and psychosocial development. Objectives The aim of the project was to create support tools for a selected group of adolescents and young adults, who are often treated as elderly people and the tools addressed to them should differ and be adapted to psychosocial and emotional development. The activities were targeted at human resources working with young people in European countries in order to strengthen their competences An additional goal of the project was the exchange of knowledge and experiences between partner organizations, which were selected in a way that allows sharing knowledge and experience in various aspects of working with people in crisis. Through the implementation of the project, we wanted to draw attention to the specific needs of a group of young people in crisis as well as in parallel crises, to which the developed support is directed, and we also wanted to fill the gap in the support system, which does not distinguish this group from the group of adults. The lack of adapted tools is visible in the partner countries as well as in other European countries. The online platform with access in English and in the languages of the partner countries is a tool that fills this gap in the field of specialization of partner organizations. Implementation As part of the project, all planned and approved activities were implemented. 3 intellectual results were developed: IO1 - An internet platform has been created on which the content related to the project is published. It also includes support pathways that are available in partner countries for people in crisis. IO4 - A Handbook for human resources working with youth has been developed, written by specialists from partner countries dealing with the topic IO3 - Practitioner guidelines have been created, which are a collection of articles describing good practices from individual countries Focus studies were carried out During the project there were 2 training sessions for partners (Portugal and Greece) There were meetings of the project team Due to the need to accelerate the activities, the training sessions took place before the team meetings in order to make the best use of the time and avoid additional trips. There was an international conference disseminating the results of the project as well as conferences and local meetings in partner countries Achievements During the project, we implemented all planned activities.
