KIWIPEDIA - Collaborative process for inclusion

Background The “Kiwipedia” project was coordinated by Hors Pistes association in France and implemented with 5 international partners: Team 4 Youth (T4UTH), Romania Associazione Eufemia, Italy Actio Catholica Patria (A.C. Patria), Lithuania ServiceBureau JugendInformationen (SBJI), Germany La Vibria Intercultural (LVI), Spain The consortium of the strategic partnership recognizes short-term mobility as an ideal entry point into international mobility and as a powerful tool for inclusion, youth participation and citizenship. The needs behind the project were: - To reduce accessibility barriers to international mobility - To reinforce interactions and cooperation between different youth work stakeholders - To develop more high quality project from the youth needs and wishes, while supporting their active participation - To work on coherent and long-term planning between international partners Objectives The main aim of the project is to foster inclusion of young people through youth mobility. Our three specific objectives are: - strengthening trans-sectoral cooperation in youth work through an international network for sharing good practices - To empower young people and to raise youth workers competences - To design and evaluate quality bottom-up projects for short-term international mobilities Why did we name our project « Kiwipedia » ? Kiwi is a name for both an animal and a fruit, for us it represents the different approaches and fields of youth work, but also our wish to take the environmental dimension into consideration in our mobility projects. Kiwipedia is then of course a wink to the Wikipedia platform, for its collaborative educational process and open purpose, both are principles we wish to apply in this project. Implementation Les activités mises en oeuvre dans le cadre du projet ont été: - 3 réunions transnationales entre partenaires (France 2021, Espagne 2022, Roumanie 2023) - 2 formations internationales (France 2022 et Roumanie 2023) - Un diagnostic des freins à la mobilité auprès des publics de chaque partenaire (coordonné par l’organisation A.C. Patria) - Une série de vidéo-tutoriels sur la planification, organisation et gestion des projets de mobilité internationale (coordonné par l’organisation LVI) - Du travail avec le partenaire local et les jeunes dans chaque pays (chaque partenaire dans son contexte local) - La gestion administrative et financière du projet (coordonnée par HP) - La valorisation du projet et de ses résultats (coordonnée par HP) Achievements As part of the Kiwipedia project, the consortium planned and carried out together 6 international mobility projects (5 intercultural exchanges and 1 group volunteering) which involved around 180 young people and 2 international training courses for youth workers. The main results of the project were compiled in a brochure which is published on our websites and social media channels and presented during the dissemination and multiplication events organized by the partners in the different countries. The brochure includes: - a diagnosis of the main obstacles to young people's access to international mobility projects - a collection of suggestions, ideas and tips to promote inclusion and sustainability in mobility projects - the link to the video tutorials on planning, organization and management of international mobility projects - descriptions of the 6 short-term projects successfully implemented within the framework of this consortium as well as a summary map - a collection of participants' learnings during the two project trainings
