With this project, we wanted to raise awareness of the cultural heritage of the concentration camps and offer more schools and teachers and students new opportunities to deal with the topics in class. The different experiences from the different countries and organisations should be brought together and new things should be developed. We wanted to make a contribution to the reappraisal of history and connect it with human rights today. It served as a basis in the fight against racism and discrimination and for a peaceful Europe of mutual respect. With the project, we wanted to strengthen the common European identity and expand the common values, civic engagement and participation through the exchange and joint development of the travelling exhibition and the educational materials. This has actually succeeded excellently.
