โถObjectives
Entrepreneurship Guide for Immigrants and Refugees is an instrument to support and guide people with a migrant background, especially refugees, to understand their competencies and the chances to initiate their own business in the host country. Moving from the need to find employment, several migrants, refugees and asylum seekers accept to start new jobs covered working positions lower than their skills. In different cases, they don't find a job at all because they don't know how to move inside the labour market.
โถActivities
In our project, we implemented the following activities: Research on Factors Affecting Refugees Navigating Entrepreneurship: We conducted comprehensive research on the specific factors that affect refugees when navigating the entrepreneurship landscape in the partner countries (Belgium, Portugal, Spain, and Finland). This research aimed to identify the challenges, opportunities, legal and regulatory frameworks, access to funding, language barriers, cultural considerations, and other relevant factors that impact refugee entrepreneurs. ReStart Guidebook for Migrant Entrepreneurs: Based on the research findings, we developed the ReStart Guidebook for Migrant Entrepreneurs. This guidebook serves as a comprehensive resource and practical tool to support and guide migrant entrepreneurs, especially refugees, in initiating their own businesses in the partner countries. The guidebook covers topics such as business planning, market research, legal requirements, funding options, networking, and cultural adaptation.
