Summary

The idea behind the project was based on the publications of Cedefop, where was presented that, EU is still far from attaining its benchmark of 15% adult participation in learning. It was stated, that EU must improve and maintain high-level skills and competences to remain competitive and innovative and that upskilling and reskilling of people was much needed to access and progress in the labour market, to achieve one’s full potential and play an active role in society. Following needs were identified: 1) For the partnership: - To include usage of innovative methodologies, which can draw into the learning process each participant and can help easier absorption of the material; - Presentation of new approaches with long-term impact in the trainees; - Reinforcement of cooperation with partners from other countries, other fields of activity and other socio-economic sectors; - Incensement of awareness of the role of EI in individual’s success in learning, professional and personal life. 2) For the trainees: - Incensement of their competences in different fields and their opportunities for professional development; - Improvement of their employability skills and adaptation to the labor market.

Objectives

EIVET's main objective was to improve the availability of high quality learning opportunities for adults, offered by participating partners, through the integration of science and methodology of EI in the training process and thus to support improving its efficiency and post-training success of the trainees. Specific objectives were: - Development of wide using training course, adapting EI into training process; - Demonstrating EI as a key element for smart and efficient training and labour integration tool, through the organized multiplier event, presenting all project results; - Development of knowledge, skills and competences in the field of emotional intelligence, self- awareness, vocational self-esteem, social entrepreneurship and economically pro-active attitude of trainees; - Strengthened cooperation between the organizations from different EU countries, in order to establish the exchange of practices and know-how.

Activities

Following activities were implemented: - activities for project management and implementation and organization of transnational project meetings, which ensured smooth and qualitative implementation of defined activities, results and objectives; - Elaborated methodology and training materials - built teaching methodology, training materials and instructions, supporting the learning process and training providers (teachers / trainers/ facilitators/ mentors) in VET centers, social support centers, social enterprises, business support organizations or other, in the process of organization and conduction of trainings; - Developed interactive learning board game, facilitating the educational process in the classroom and for the continuous learning in an informal environment and thus achieving long-term learning impacts in involved trainees; - Developed mobile application Smart Emotion, helping users to build a rational strategy on how to deal with emotions in different situations, improving their emotional intelligence and preventing undesirable consequences, triggered by unprocessed emotions. The app is available for IOs and Android users free for download and use; - Organized 2 training activities, validating the results under PR 1 and PR 2; - Organized multiplier event, presenting the tangible results of the project to users, target groups and stakeholders and to engage proactively the relevant stakeholders at national and local levels to the benefits of inclusion emotional intelligence into the training process and its positive effects on the trainees and trainers.

Impact

Following outcomes and results were achieved: - Elaborated EI training course, consisting of methodology, training materials and guidelines for their application. The methodology was created based on the developed Guide for Semi-Structured Interviews and Analysis of the semi-structured interviews and training needs survey. The materials are supporting the learning process and training providers, in the process of organization and conduction of trainings. The developed methodology and training materials are applicable to all kind of training courses. - Created interactive learning board game in 5 languages (EN, BG, IT, GR and SK), to facilitate the educational process in the classroom and for the continuous learning in an informal. The board game contained 4 set of cards: emotion cards, Strategy cards, Context cards and Situation cards; instruction with a description of different situations / stories and with suggestions for effective strategies for processing them; detailed instruction on how to use the cards and a guide on how to decode and integrate emotions and needs. - Developed mobile app Smart Emotion, stimulating the process of awareness and self-reflection, providing quick and easily accessible and accurate assessment of the user's current emotional status by "scanning" several key indicators through answering basic questions about the user's physical condition, feelings and thoughts. The app is available for IOs and Android users; - Organized 2 Short-term joint staff training events: C1 Validation of the developed methodology and training course and C2 Validation of the developed interactive board game. - Organized 1 multiplier event - E1: Final event - what have been done and achieved; - Organized 3 TPMs; - Elaborated 3 e-newsletters; - Created project’s logo;
