The consortium aimed to increase the awareness and to establish a comprehensive framework for enhancing OSH in green work environments, with a particular focus on the implications of climate change and to contribute to a broader cultural shift towards more sustainable and safety-conscious work environments In particular the activities were aimed at: - Raising awareness about the specific risks and safety measures in green industries - Reduction of accidents caused by non-compliance with the OSH - Support SMEs to fully comply with the European OHS and environmental regulations - Providing accessible and practical training - Developing digital resources, such as an e-learning platform and a mobile application, to ensure wide reach and ease of access - Creating a guide for training and policy adaptation that can be used by organizations to align their practices with the latest safety standards and environmental considerations SMEs’ awareness rising through the implementation of interactive online learning was to point out the interaction between compliance with safety rules at work, the factors of the work environment, and the ergonomics of workplaces as three mandatory and indivisible conditions for ensuring OSH in green workplaces.

Project management and implementation The activity included ongoing planning, financial management and budget control, quality control and monitoring, implementation of follow up of the project and organized tasks, including preparation of communication materials, drafting of reports, virtual meetings and keeping records of all the activities and the events with the results achieved. Transnational Project Meetings (TPM): We organized TPMs in Spain and Bulgaria, supplemented by an online kick-off meeting in Cyprus. These meetings were crucial for aligning project objectives, coordinating among partners, and ensuring cohesive progress. The online kick-off meeting in Cyprus allowed the consortium to set clear roles and responsibilities for the project’s implementation and to plan the overall implementation. In Spain, the consortium focused on reviewing the project’s progress, refining project’s methodologies, establish the groundwork for the next PRs and activities. The Bulgarian meeting concentrated on reviewing the achievements, finalization of the Results, overview the main 3 products, and planning for the final reporting. Development of project results: PR1 Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox The following activities were performed: - Survey on the current state of needs in the field of OHS in Green Work Environments and Needs analysis, performed in all participating countries. The results served as basis for the development of theoretical framework of the Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox. - Development of theoretical framework of the Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox. - Development of curriculum comprised of 8 modules - Development of Open Resource Toolbox comprised of 21 tools - Translation of curriculum and parts of the toolbox in all partner languages PR2 Interactive Online Learning Environment and Mobile Application The following activities were performed: - Development of Interactive Online Learning Environment (OLE) using a Learning Management System and Defining the functions. The learning environment is hosting all interested users and guide them to access the online modules, participate in learning activities, mini-games, use assessment tools to evaluate their performance and communicate with other learners and instructors, search the resource bank, and utilize multimedia content and tools. The online Learning Environment is also hosting PR3. - Developing and deciding the content - development & integration of learning tools, communication tools, modules, mini-games and exercises, and other in order to create an online community of target groups, providers and stakeholders. - User-interface design, shaping the database and forming database elements - Functionality testing: The Learning Environment was tested thoroughly to ensure that it is stable and fully functional, by experts and the targeted end-users. - Usability testing and feedback was conducted to assess the online environment prototypes with the aim of improving the content, the technology tools, and the overall interface of the environment. - Dissemination and attracting users to the platform - Translation of the OLE in all partners languages. - Development of mobile application PR3 Training and Policy Adaptation Guide (Interactive eBook) - Development of Adaptation, Skills Assessment, Validation, and Recognition Guidelines - Development of Assessment, Validation, and recognition of skills acquisition - Development of Policy Guide Partners’ Staff Capacity Building The LTT activity in Italy was a cornerstone of the project, aimed at capacity building and knowledge exchange. Participants from partner countries engaged in intensive training sessions, workshops, real activities with the modules, toolbox, and discussions. These sessions were designed to enhance understanding of the specific challenges posed by climate change in green work environments and to develop effective strategies for addressing these challenges through educational and practical approaches. Multiplier Events in Each Country: To maximize the impact of the project, the partners organized Multiplier Events in each participating country. These events served as platforms for disseminating the knowledge and tools developed through the project to a wider audience. We included workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, targeting professionals, stakeholders, and policymakers in the field of occupational health and safety, as well as the general public interested in green work environments Dissemination activities - project website - leaflet - newsletters - dissemination logs and reports - social media and other publications - presentations of the project at different events. Each of these activities was carefully designed and implemented with the aim of creating a lasting impact in the field of occupational health and safety, particularly in the context of the evolving challenges posed by climate change.

The SAFESENSE+ project successfully produced a range of concrete outputs and results, each contributing significantly to the project's overarching goal of enhancing occupational health and safety in green work environments, particularly in light of climate change: 1. Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox - Survey, performed in all participating countries and Needs analysis. The results served as basis for the development of theoretical framework of the Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox. - Theoretical framework of the Curriculum and Open Resource Toolbox. - Curriculum comprised of 8 modules, developed based on the ECVET framework with specific units, descriptions of learning outcomes, and information about the level of qualifications, and ECVET points. - Open Resource Toolbox comprised of 21 tools, with exercises, mini games, videos, interactive resources. - Available in all partner languages 2. Interactive Online Learning Environment and Mobile Application designed to allow the users to access the full range of the digital training material of the project. There are 341 registered users (and more than 1500 unregistered visitors – the system requires registration only for certificate issuing purposes) in the platform, who took part in the pilot functionality and usability testing (with 1174 modules completed in total) and provided suggestions and feedback for further improvement of the learning environment. 3. Training and Policy Adaptation Guide (Interactive eBook), presenting the policy-making problems, solutions, deficiencies, and strategies in relation to policies for Occupational Health and Safety in the partner countries. It is a comprehensive guide that outlines training methodologies and policy adaptation strategies. This guide serves also as a valuable resource for organizations and professionals, helping them align their practices with modern safety standards and environmental considerations. It also feeds project results into wider (non-VET) services through the recognition of how project outputs can be transferred into other activities targeting OSH for SMEs These results developed a common governance approach to OSH for SMEs and Improved the knowledge of all professionals around OSH for SMEs by sharing best practices and high-quality resources and highlighted new organizational structures to promote OSH. The collected feedback showed that they serve well for the empowerment of trainers, educators and stakeholders to begin to better understand how to improve their structures and institutional culture in reference to OSH for SMEs. 4. Transnational Project Meetings and Training Sessions: The consortium successfully conducted several transnational and online meetings. These events were instrumental in developing and refining the project's outputs, fostering collaboration among partners, and ensuring the relevance and quality of the materials. 5. LTTA Partners’ Staff Capacity Building in Milan, Italy. This activity allowed the direct testing of project outputs and its learning objectives, as adapted and designed by the partnership, by partners’ experts, instill ownership in partnership’s experts on the practical component of organizing and delivering such initiatives at the national level. 6. Multiplier Events: Several Multiplier Events across the participating countries were organised. These events were pivotal in disseminating the knowledge and tools developed by the project to a broader audience, including industry professionals, policymakers, and the general public. 7. Awareness and Engagement Activities: Through various channels, including social media, workshops, and seminars, the project raised awareness about occupational health and safety in green work environments. These activities helped in engaging a wider audience and promoting a safety-conscious culture in these industries. 8. Feedback and Evaluation Reports: Continuous feedback and evaluation mechanisms were implemented throughout the project. 9. Dissemination materials: The partnership has produced a project leaflet, 4 Newsletters, 3 dissemination reports, and multiple publications. All of the above contributed to strengthening partner networks both internally within the project and on a local level and provided new insides into to the current challenges, strengths, weaknesses, etc. of OSH for SMEs. It also provides an innovative example of how education and training governance can be improved by embracing new technologies and online platforms. Overall, these results provide a freely accessible, permanent bank of resources and tools for the continuous development of education and training institutions’ approach to OSH for SMEs. They not only fulfilled the immediate objectives of the SAFESENSE+ project but also laid a foundation for ongoing efforts to improve occupational health and safety standards in green work environments, particularly in the face of evolving climate change challenges.
