By implementing this project, we aimed to significantly enhance the quality of teaching and learning at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) by empowering academics to innovate their pedagogical approaches. Through the introduction of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), we provided a structured format for professional development, enabling educators to upskill and adapt their teaching to meet diverse student needs. Our goal was to create inclusive international classrooms that embraced diversity and equipped all students with essential global competencies. We sought to shift the perception of internationalization from being an exclusive benefit for a selected few to a fundamental right for all students, ensuring they gained global perspectives as an integral part of their education. Ultimately, we envisioned that successful implementation would position international classrooms as a hallmark of quality in higher education, making diversity and inclusion central to the institutional narrative. This transformation would not only enrich the educational experience but also prepare students to thrive in a globalised world.
