▶Objectives
Recognizing the importance of equipping the next generation with essential skills for personal and professional success, we saw this project as an opportunity to contribute to the development of emotional intelligence in Europe. The project aimed to create a comprehensive map of the impact of emotional education across Europe, tailoring its approach to the geographical and cultural diversity of the region. By developing a subject specifically designed to train students in emotional intelligence, we aim to nurture skills such as creativity, conflict resolution, and cognitive flexibility. Moreover, the project included a focus on training teachers and future trainers to effectively communicate and pass these skills, enhancing their resilience and capacity for innovation in education. Through the development of three key products, including didactic units and practical resources compelled in the complex Handbook for Teachers, the project seeks to provide accessible and impactful tools for promoting emotional intelligence in European education systems.

We applied for the EIFNEG project because our organizations felt that traditional education may not adequately prepare students for the future, so we watned to bridge this gap by focusing on emotional intelligence course development. Our project aimed to provide teenagers with the necessary emotional management skills to navigate the complexities of the modern world, enhancing their adaptability, creativity, and interpersonal relationships. By targeting this crucial age group (14-18 years), we aimed to empower students as they transition into adulthood, equipping them with essential skills for personal and professional success. As an official supporting document on this topic, we can refer to the critical need highlighted in the World Economic Forum's report on the future of jobs. This report highlighted the importance of skills such as emotional intelligence for adolescents to thrive in an evolving job market.
