▶Objectives
By implementing the project, we aimed to unify and refine best practices in tree consultancy across European countries. The project was designed to create high-quality materials defining the minimum requirements for professionals providing tree care consultancy. As part of this effort, we reviewed the current state of knowledge and identified national specifications. The development of these tools helped improve communication between arborists, tree owners, tree managers, and other relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the project contributed to establishing a standardized qualification process and creating a foundation for effective training. ECoST built on the development of European arboricultural standards, providing high-quality tools for recognizing best practices in arboriculture and urban forestry, as well as supporting training and certification of professionals.
