โ–ถSummary

In partner countries, VET education struggles to integrate modern disciplines, combining practical skills with soft skills, digital literacy, computational thinking, and foreign languages. Recognizing the link between soft skills and employability, the VET3D project aimed to support VET learners in acquiring employability competences through extracurricular activities, societal learning, and work-based experiences. The project provided tailored programs across formal education, informal learning, and work-based training. Our goal was to identify existing soft skills development programs addressing specific challenges in each partner country. The project aimed to close the soft skills gap by developing a framework of transferable competencies and practices, enhancing cross-sectoral cooperation within the VET field. Teachers and students needs addressed: Gain new skills in work-based learning; Access new training materials; Increase mobility opportunities in mixed learning systems; Improve awareness and understanding of work-based training opportunities; Enhance transversal competences; Exchange experiences at the EU level, boosting mobility and employability.

โ–ถObjectives

VET3D project aimed to promote a three-dimensional approach in VET by merging formal, non-formal, and work-based training to enhance digital skills and transversal competences, improving employment opportunities. VET3D project, involving partners from Italy, Greece, Latvia, and the Czech Republic, aimed to bridge this gap by providing tools and pathways to enhance transversal skills. The project sought to align vocational training with business needs, emphasizing soft skills gained from out-of-school learning, such as internships, volunteering, and active citizenship. Project goals: 1. Online database: Create a platform to store personal records of young adults, developed by experts (teachers, case managers, corporate recruiters, computer scientists). 2. Pre-orientation courses: Develop extracurricular experiences, school-work alternation, and job placement services to enhance transversal skills and digital literacy. 3. Continuous skills mapping: Monitor skill development through self-assessment and evaluations from project managers and school tutors.
