Objectives

The MicroCredX project aimed to enable higher education institutions to implement flexible micro-credential offerings aligned with European frameworks, industry needs and learner demands. Key objectives included dismantling barriers to micro-credential adoption, creating institutional strategies, facilitating recognition across institutions, developing a catalogue of courses supporting virtual mobility, establishing a sustainable network of collaborating institutions, and providing practical tools and guidance. For students and employers, MicroCredX partners sought to enhance employability and responsiveness in their institution through learner-centered credentialing solutions. Additionally, partners wanted to investigate the immediate value of their education for students and employers using a micro-credentialing approach.
