Objectives

The partners were keen not only to discuss their theoretical approach with project partners, but also to test it in practice in different European cultures and to determine the impact of sports camps, which were organised jointly with representatives of the project partners. Fortunately, in addition to Bremen Prison, Heinsberg Prison could be won as an associated partner even before the project began, so that sports camps with juvenile prisoners could be organised at two German locations. The multilingual brochure, which contains detailed information on all sports camps including feedback from the participants and is available to download from the project website at www.bsv-wassenberg.de/sportcamps, shows that the objective was achieved in full.

Impact

The partnership has produced the following outputs: 1. realisation of 5 partner meetings in Heinsberg, Rome, Innsbruck, Bremen and Katerini with the primary aim of exchanging experiences about the sports camps carried out. 2. conceptualisation, implementation and documentation of five sports camps at each partner location. 3. detailed documentation of the sports camps in a multilingual brochure. 4. creation of the project website www.bsv-wassenberg.de/sportcamps, which primarily serves to make the brochure permanently accessible to the general public.
