▶Objectives
The implementation of the project has improved the availability of e-learning materials for learning German. The deutsch.info portal has been expanded with a new introductory course that is innovative, interactive, and user-friendly. The course, available in 22 languages, provides wide geographic accessibility and is free of charge. The goal was to offer a high-quality learning opportunity that enables users to learn independently, anytime and anywhere. The primary target group consists of adult learners with little or no knowledge of German, often facing economic barriers to participation in commercial language courses or living in remote areas. By providing free access to the course, the project promotes the social inclusion of migrants in Austria and Germany, offering free learning materials for beginners, and helping migrants find jobs and integrate more effectively. User data from deutsch.info shows that many learners start using the platform in their home countries. By practicing basic conversational skills, they are better prepared for integration and more easily accepted by society. The project also supports learners worldwide who want to learn German for various personal and professional reasons.
