Summary

The CAN DO CARDS project was planned with all partners in the times of the COVID crisis to assist overcoming the harsh effects of the crisis, especially for the vulnerable and disadvantaged groups...

Objectives

Creative and emotional skills allow CA to find new inventive resilience strategies, better cope with crisis situations and societal challenges as well as raise their critical thinking and active citizenship. It also allows CA to act more effectively both individually and in a group, it encourages cohesion and the attainment of common goals without losing respect for one-another. The participatory, process-oriented and ressourceoriented CAN DO approach is meant o be made accessible for multipliers in the filed of civic, non-formal education. We believe that educators in the social field need to be empowered with effective tools to become the drivers for positive change. Change Agents will be equipped with tools that empower disadvantaged people with creative and innovative skills and competences which reinforce their resilience and increase their civic engagement. CDC was based on Pestalozzi’s theory of learning through hearth, head and hand, respectively represented by three specific educational methods: (1) learning democracy (2) intercultural competences (3) participation These topics were the basis of all CDC activities: TPMs, LTTAs, PRs and MEs.
