The project's objective was to increase awareness among students (aged 14-18) of global challenges as defined by the UN’s SDGs. Specifically, the project sought to: Train students to create innovative solutions: The project aimed to equip students with the skills to collaboratively create innovative solutions, practices, and methods for tackling the challenges targeted by the 17 SDGs. Develop intercultural competencies: We focused on training students and teachers in intercultural competencies, fostering a better understanding and appreciation of different cultures. Enhance English language skills: Improve students’ competencies in speaking and writing English. Promote shared responsibility: We sought to instil in students a deep understanding that the challenges reflected in the 17 SDGs are shared globally and that we all have a collective responsibility to address them. Empower teachers for cross-border cooperation: The project aimed to develop teachers' abilities to engage their students in trans-border educational collaboration. Draw inspiration from international practices: We intended to draw inspiration from how different countries approach the SDGs, using these diverse perspectives to enrich the learning experience.

The project was carried out through a combination of well-planned activities and strong project management strategies. These efforts were focused on achieving the project’s goals, particularly in relation to improving educational practices connected to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A series of key activities were implemented. Firstly, a self-reflection tool for teachers was developed to help educators assess and improve their competencies in cross-border learning, with a particular focus on the SDGs. In addition, an online training programme was created to support teachers in developing the necessary skills for effective cross-border collaboration and the implementation of SDG-related activities in schools. The project also established a community platform where teachers and students from different countries could collaborate. This platform served as a hub for exchanging ideas and working together on projects related to the SDGs. Furthermore, three online workshops were organised, where students and teachers collaborated on challenges related to the SDGs. These workshops produced various outputs such as videos, models, and posters, showcasing the participants' work on global educational and cultural issues. To support the integration of the SDGs into schools, an organisational guide was developed, providing practical advice and strategies for educators to follow. Project management played a crucial role in the project’s success. At the outset, a comprehensive management and financial plan was established, outlining timelines, tasks, responsibilities, communication procedures, and financial obligations. Each partner was responsible for managing their own budget, while the Lead Partner (LP) ensured overall financial compliance through biannual status reports. Financial management was conducted at both partnership and organisational levels, ensuring that the project remained within budget. An overall work plan was developed during the Kick-off Meeting, where key tasks, outcomes, and required resources were outlined. The LP monitored deadlines and coordinated timely reporting and deliverables. Detailed work plans were created for each project result in collaboration with the LP and leading organisations to ensure that all partners met their deadlines. Communication between partners was facilitated through various tools such as online meetings, emails, Google Drive, and WhatsApp. Regular bilateral online meetings, face-to-face sessions, and transnational partner meetings ensured that all partners were aligned and actively contributing to the project’s progress. Transparent management rules further supported cooperation. Continuous monitoring was carried out to ensure that all tasks, milestones, and deliverables adhered to the agreed schedules and quality standards. A risk management plan was implemented to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies, which helped maintain the project’s stability. Participants in the project, including teachers and students, received comprehensive training and support, ensuring effective participation. In addition, a dissemination plan was developed, which included the translation of project materials into national languages, regular updates to the project’s website, and other outreach activities to maximise the project’s impact and reach. Through these activities and management strategies, the project was successfully executed, enabling it to achieve its objectives effectively and within the allocated budget and timeline.

Concrete Outputs and Other Results: 1. Educational Tools and Resources: - Self-Reflection Tool for Teachers (PR1): A self-assessment tool was developed for teachers to evaluate their competencies and skills in cross-border learning related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This tool enables teachers to reflect on and enhance their ability to implement SDGs through transnational cooperation in education. 2. Training Programmes: - Online Training Program for Teachers (PR2): An online training programme was created to support teachers in developing skills for effective cross-border cooperation in SDG implementation within school settings. This programme provides teachers with practical strategies and methodologies to integrate SDGs into their curricula. 3. Community and Interactive Platforms: - Community E-Platform for Cross-Border Cooperation (PR3): An interactive online platform was established to facilitate collaboration among teachers and students from different countries. This platform serves as a virtual space where users can engage in projects and discussions related to the SDGs, fostering international cooperation and idea exchange. 4. Workshops and Learning Activities: - Online Workshops for Cross-Border Cooperation (PR4): Three online workshops were organised, where students and teachers collaborated to address tasks and challenges related to the SDGs. The outcomes of these workshops were compiled into four short videos, showcasing diverse approaches to SDGs based on different educational and cultural contexts. 5. Additional Result: - Organisational Guide for Implementing SDGs in Schools (PR5): An additional output, the organisational guide, was produced to assist schools in implementing the SDGs. This guide provides practical advice and strategies for integrating SDGs into school practices and curricula, helping educators to align their teaching with sustainability goals. 6. Broader Educational Impact: - Enhanced Teacher Competencies: The project contributed to expanding the competencies of teaching staff by introducing innovative methodologies for SDG education. This included increased teacher engagement in lifelong learning and active participation in developing educational materials and programmes. - Increased Student Awareness: A larger number of students gained knowledge about the SDGs, leading to a better understanding of sustainable development issues and the role they can play in addressing these challenges. - Improved Language Skills: Through cross-border communication on relevant topics, students improved their language skills, which facilitated more effective dialogue with peers from other countries. 7. Strengthened International Collaboration: - Promotion of Transnational Cooperation: The project fostered cooperation between young people from different countries and developed intercultural competencies among teachers and students. This promoted a shared responsibility for addressing global challenges related to the SDGs. - Exchange of Good Practices: The project enabled the sharing of best practices and experiences among project partners, contributing to the development of effective approaches for SDG implementation at both national and European levels. 8. Sustainability and Dissemination: - Permanent Networks: The establishment of permanent networks and communication channels ensured that the exchange of experiences and collaboration continued beyond the project’s end. These networks support ongoing engagement and knowledge sharing. - Comprehensive Dissemination: The project activities and results were disseminated locally, regionally, nationally, and at the EU level, enhancing visibility and impact. This included creating promotional materials, maintaining a project website, and using social media to reach a broad audience.
