โถObjectives
The HINTS project aimed to achieve several objectives. Firstly, it aimed to equip professionals working with Third-Country Nationals (TCNs) with an e-Guidebook that contained best practices for the social inclusion of TCNs. The goal was to provide them with comprehensive knowledge and tools to maximize the potential of TCN integration through a multidisciplinary approach. Secondly, the project aimed to enhance the quality of services provided by consortium partners to TCNs. This would be achieved by equipping the consortium with the e-Guidebook and promoting the inter-exchange of best practices. The aim was to improve the support and assistance offered to TCNs in their integration process. Another objective was to raise awareness among various stakeholders, including VET centers, social enterprises, and other organizations involved in migrant integration/support, as well as local communities. The goal was to increase understanding and promote the importance of social inclusion for TCNs within these communities.
โถActivities
In the implementation of the HINTS project, we conducted the following activities: two project meetings for managerial purposes in Athens and in Brussels, collection of practices and Guidebook construction, digitalization of the Guidebook and creation of the project website/branding, five training activities to test and validate best practices, implementation of pilots, and organization of multi-festival activities in each partner country. These activities aimed to enhance knowledge, provide resources, and promote the social inclusion of TCNs.
โถImpact
The HINTS project successfully produced a Guidebook that offered valuable best practices for the social integration of TCNs across four key areas: Education, Interculturality, Family and Social Life, and Employability. This comprehensive resource, available in English, Greek, Italian, and French, aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working with TCNs. Additionally, the project organized impactful national multi-festivals, bringing together stakeholders and local communities to promote awareness and engagement in TCN integration. These events fostered a sense of belonging and inclusivity, contributing to the overall social cohesion of the communities involved. Furthermore, through four short-term training activities, the project provided professionals with practical learning opportunities to test and validate the collected best practices. This hands-on approach aimed to enhance their competencies and equip them with effective strategies to support TCN integration. Lastly, the project implemented four national pilots, focusing on each of the four Guidebook topics.
