Objectives

EDUCATE project aimed to promote quality adult education supporting open and innovative practices in a digital era. More specific, the project achieved sharing certification and guidance for high-quality adult education practice across Europe leading to improved practice and innovation within the European lifelong learning community; created effective opportunities for connection, collaboration, and mutual learning between adult educators; built capacity of adult educators to respond to digitalization through training that met their needs, based on monitoring and sustainability approach; improved planning and development of digital literacy education of high-quality lifelong learning strategies through increasing awareness and digital methodological skills of adult educators and lifelong learning organisations staff for requirements and best practices for practical application; raised awareness of digital adult education within the lifelong learning sector and to policymakers and funders nationally and EU-wide. In addition, it facilitated the dissemination of accreditation and advice for exemplary adult education practices across Europe; fostered productive opportunities for adult educators to network and collaborate.
