β–ΆObjectives

SFaB developed a framework for learning and understanding the nature, importance, and uniqueness of family business within EU. The specific achievements were to:Combine the know-how and experience of its consortium and create the best possible outcomes regarding the Project's results. Create an original and innovative educational tool, M.O.O.C. on Family Business Management that help participants understand this type of Enterprises specific needs and challenges. Covers the needs of the personnel and works as a guide for improving strategies and ensuring sustainability. Provide through the MOOC certification of attendance, a practical way of proving one’s capacity on the Family business Management. Support Family businesses in identifying possible threats and dangers for their enterprise and providing them with ways of dealing with them or overcoming the risk. Informing professionals from the fields of sustainability, economics, and generally the business world about Family Businesses, their role, and its importance within the EU. Explore new opportunities and possibilities for cooperation as a crucial part of doing business. Promote the lifelong learning dimension of higher education including innovative ways of learning (MOOC).

β–ΆActivities

The overarching aim of our project was to adapt vocational education and training to labour market’s needs. This aim achieved through the following specific objectives: OBJECTIVE 1: To provide a relevant, targeted and engaging skills development programme that can be sustained after the end of project delivery. RESULTS: R1- Support Family Business learning programme Design, ACTIVITIES: R1/A1: SFaB Learning Strategy R1/A2: SFaB programme content development R1/A3: Accreditation & Use of microcredentials OBJECTIVE 2: To promote high quality, learner-centred VET that involves the learner in its development and is flexible and engaging. RESULTS: R2. SFaB Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and MOOC, ACTIVITIES: R2/A1: Specifications of the SFaB VLE R2/A2: Development of SFaB VLE R2/A3:Translation of the SBaB VLE R2/A4: Development of Support Family Business Online Course R2/A5: Pilot testing of the Support Family Business MOOC R2/A6:MOOC Launching, Delivery and Monitoring. OBJECTIVE 3: To contribute to or stimulate policy initiatives that support family business education. SFaB Toolkit, ACTIVITIES: R3/A1: Support Family Business TOOLKIT STRATEGY, R3/A2: TOOLKIT Design, R3/A3: TOOLKIT Translation, R3/A4: Audio-visual material activities for TOOLKIT. Other activities carried out for the implementation of the project were: A3: Dissemination, ACTIVITIES: Stakeholder Identification & Analysis, Dissemination Plan, Portfolio of Dissemination Material Project Website, Project Social Media, Newsletters, Press releases, open call for learners, Participation in EU platforms (EPALE etc.). A4:Exploitation, ACTIVITIES: 4.1. Exploitation Plan, 4.2. Promotional Video, 4.3. Memorandum of Understanding, 4.4. IPR and commercialisation agreement.

β–ΆImpact

Below is a list of the concrete outputs and other results. 1-MOOC programme built upon carefully designed learning objectives and offered in an engaging, interactive way. The contribution of the SFaB MOOC program is to meet the special needs of a family business by providing scientific knowledge, methodological tools and applied best practices to train family and non-family members of the business and thus optimize the performance of the business. The five modules focus on the following themes: FAMILY BUSINESS & SPECIAL CHARACTERISTIS, SUCCESSION, THE ROLE OF WOMAN IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, CORPORATE GOVERNANCE & FAMILY GOVERNANCE MECHANISMS (FGM), and FAMILY BUSINESS STRATEGY. 2-Support Family Business WEB PLATFORM 2.1. PROJECT WEBSITE (https://sfab-project.eu/)and SOCIAL MEDIA (Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100082954071386 , Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/sfab.project/, LinkedIn -https://www.linkedin.com/company/sfab-project/, YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIR-Kr6TsXYFH6NhzSW1u0A) 3- PROJECT PROMOTIONAL VIDEO To contribute to project exploitation 4- Support Family Business Toolkit. A manual with presentation of successful examples, good practices and the highlights of the theory, that is used irrespective of the SFaB-MOOC Programme and provides those who will read it, with valid and high-grade knowledge about the topic. In addition to the Toolkit, a Toolkit Audiovisual was created to introduce learners the Toolkit and its use. 5- VIDEOS FROM MULTIPLIER EVENTS. National/ regional events were recorded or broadcasted live on social media to contribute to project dissemination. The consent of participants was sought.
