โ–ถSummary

We applied for this project to address critical gaps in the fashion industry related to sustainability, transparency, and ethical practices. The fashion sector is notorious for its environmental impact and labor issues, necessitating a shift towards more responsible practices. Our needs assessment revealed a significant demand for specialized training and professional development to foster these changes. We aimed to create a new job profile, the Transparency Manager (TRA/MA), to oversee sustainable practices within the fashion value chain. Additionally, there was a need for comprehensive educational resources and training programs to equip industry professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge. The project sought to provide these resources through the development of a detailed curriculum, short courses, and practitioner handbooks. Our intentions included enhancing industry standards, promoting transparency, and supporting the transition to a circular economy. By engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including VET trainers, business consultants, and sustainability experts, we aimed to foster a culture of ethical practices and sustainable development in the fashion industry.

Create and define the role of the Transparency Manager (TRA/MA) to oversee and ensure sustainable and ethical practices within the fashion value chain. 2.
