Give Respect to Environment, Enjoy the Nature

We intended to contribute to the goals of Sustainable Development in the field of education. Education could be one of the most useful tool to make our society conscious about the necesity to change our lifestyles making them more sustainible. At primary education level, in all partners countries curricula, environmental education is only mentioned in the general aims and values and it is taught as primarily embedded in other subjects but is not taught as a separate subject. Learning outcomes are generally local rather than global and most of them are based on nature conservation education instead of education for SE. Therefore, participant organizations prepared this project together to raise the awareness of teachers and pupils in primary school about the climate change reasons and the importance of renewable energy and recycling to contribute to SE education.

Aims we wanted to reach: - enhance the teachers' skills, knowledge and methods about the importance of Education for a Sustainable Environment. - improve the digital skills of the teachers and students by the use of blended mobilities and cooperation activities online. - provide schools with a pedagogical guideline and innovative educational tools to support pupils to internalize the importance of the renewable energies and recycling to have a sustainable environment. - give teachers the change of exchange information with the colleagues from European countries and of enriching their experience and realising the common problems and differences in our education systems and understanding of pedagogical styles used across Europe. - Exchange and job-shadowing of good educational practices - -improve teachers' and students' foreign language and ICT skills -develop in our students critical thinking and problem solving skills - -increase their knowedge about other countries and reduce their prejudice about the different cultures, languages, races and religions. -Disseminate the good effects of Erasmus+projects in our educational communities, increase the feeling of beloging to Europe and to shared supranational values.

The provided budget was used with the purpose for which it was intended and all the planned activities were implemented according to the calendar.We carried out other interesting activities related to the topics that helped to achieve the objectives and complemented the provided activities.Teachers explained their colleagues all the information about training and jobshadowing activities.So did students participants in LTT2 with their classmates.The Erasmus corner was created and updated during all time of duration of the project.All common materials were translated to English and mother tongues,so they could be used for every teacher in every school.Most of these activities were prepared and implemented for our students lessons,they are now a part of our curricula:Improving School gardens. Green keepers in classrooms to advice about lights, eusing and recycling,cleaning...Decoration with art craft made recycled material by pupils.Students shared documents and created a green pictionary in 5 languages,they play games on line, shared all this creations on padlet and compared them, hey comunicated using mails and comments,they participated in videocalls explaining their research on natural spaces and about renewable energies

The main projects results are the 5 Guidelines for teachers about “Waste Management, Sustainability and Climate Change” that includes activities for students and recommedations for teachers in 5 languages (English, Greek, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish) Web page, etwinning project and facebook account of the project in English, webpage with information in the language of every organization. DRIVE folder with all documents for management, follow up and organization of the project. Audiovisual materials with the production of all participants. All the results were published/shared on our web pages and Erasmus platform results without restrictions.
