▶Summary
European cultural heritage plays an important role in building the future of Europe, which is why it is important to preserve it and transmit it to future generations. Although both the Declaration of Human Rights states that "everyone has the right to participate freely in the cultural life of the community and to enjoy the arts...", and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities It also expressly includes "the right of people with disabilities to participate, on equal terms with others, in cultural life...", even in practice it is a pending challenge both due to the problems inherent to the person with disabilities, as well as the lack of training on disabilities for cultural professionals. For all of the above, the Curability project was carried out with the purpose of collaborating in making culture accessible to people with disabilities through the training of cultural workers - both with respect to accessibility and knowledge and use of ICTs. - in museums and exhibition halls, being able to extrapolate to other cultural facilities - and establish common protocols and iconography.
