▶Objectives
The main goals of PhraseoLab were to improve foreign language proficiency, particularly in German, by teaching its phraseology—an essential yet often challenging aspect of fluency. The project sought to highlight the opportunities offered by the plurilingual approach, emphasizing interlinguistic connections and promoting their use in language teaching, while also strengthening students’ European identity. Additionally, it aimed to raise students’ awareness of their existing linguistic resources, boosting motivation by recognizing the value of their knowledge. Another key objective was to create an engaging, accessible, and adaptable resource for learners, available for download and customization. The platform was designed to offer multimodal exercises to support various learner profiles in formal, informal, and self-study contexts. It leverages multimedia and interactive elements to align with the learning habits of younger learners. The platform is inclusive, catering to those with limited access to institutional education. The project aimed to impact language certification and, in turn, open professional opportunities. Future expansion to include additional languages were also planned, contributing to phraseodidactic research.
