Estudio del cambio climático a través de la vitivinicultura: Influencia en la calidad de la uva y del vino. Nuevas tecnologías para la comercialización.
▶Summary
This project was conceived as a collaboration model between institutions from six countries interested in modernizing the Vocational Education and Training (VET) offerings by improving their relev...
▶Objectives
The general objective of the project was to improve the employability of VET students in viticulture and the food industry, as well as the improvement of vocational training quality. To achieve this general objective, the following specific objectives were proposed: O1- Study how the classic parameters used in maturation and quality controls of typical grapes evolve over three harvests in the six partner countries on harvest day to determine the impact of climate change. O2- Promote the transfer of successful and innovative practices in training and production between VET institutions and local businesses. (Improvement through labor market insertion and company participation. Dual System). O3- Establish an international product cataloging panel. O4- Facilitate training in product marketing and sales at the European level (Improvement of Marketing teachings for products). O5- Promote the formation of a stable VET network on innovation in the Food Industry. (Improvement through continuous updating and renewal).
▶Activities
Throughout the project, activities have been carried out both at the VET institutions themselves and during mobility periods. Activities carried out at each of the VET institutions:** Each institution proposed measures aimed at determining the impact of climate change on the different typical grape varieties of each country. These measures were carried out during the harvest, fermentation, and maturation periods of wine over a span of nine months. The measures and interpretation of the results form the basis of the study that will be submitted for publication in the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (with participation from countless companies). Additionally, the following activities were carried out as part of the Training, Teaching, and Learning component: Research-related activities: 1. On-site analysis of physical-chemical parameters for each representative variety. The influence of climate change on these analyses. Comparative study of viticulture techniques on vineyards in each country and the impact of climate change on them. 2. Activities related to marketing and commercialization: 3. Visits to winery with a 'Zero Waste' plan 4. Alternative packaging in wine production, reuse, and recycling of packaging.
▶Impact
The tangible results obtained and uploaded to the results platform are as follows: RT1 - Article eligible for publication on how climate change is affecting viticulture and the quality of grapes and wine, depending on the geographical location and grape variety. RT2 - Guide with partial development of course curricula: related to viticulture and the marketing and sale of products. RT3 - Dossier of recommendations for the development of training pathways, especially those linked to Dual Vocational Training. RT 4.- Catalog of freely accessible digital educational resources: Development of a collaborative website in which each institution will act as a content provider on the specifics of viticulture, winemaking techniques, and marketing protocols. RT5.- Compendium for the development of new VET organization RT6 - Development of a catalog of skills common to all centers participating in the field of viticulture, RT7 - Specific work guide on sales and marketing for the Food Industries professional group. RT8 - Creation of a stable training network among the various members to promote the transfer of good winemaking and sales practices. RT9 - Catalog of new methodologies and technologies in viticulture. Process digitalization.
