โ–ถSummary

Waste is defined by Directive 2008/98/EC Article 3(1) as 'any substance or object which the holder discards, intends to discard, or is required to discard.' This definition underscores the potenti...

โ–ถObjectives

The primary objective of the CROCEMS project was to develop innovative training tools addressed to manufacturing sectors in the fields of collaborative robotics and Circular Economy and thus facilitate its integration and improve the skills and knowledge on this key technology and methodology for the upcoming years. The CROCEMS project successfully achieved its predefined objectives, which were as follows: SO1: Increasing quality in work through the design and development of new transversal and edge-cutting curricula on Collaborative Robotics and its use on waste management and Circular Economy. SO2: Creating flexible learning pathways and didactic tools based on the learning outcomes approach, able to provide, assess and recognise the key competences identified of the target groups. SO3: Delivering the training through a MOOC in different EU languages, providing innovative learning material and promoting the use of open and online learning. SO4: Promoting and using the information about the project outputs and outcomes across Europe for a wider exploitation that secure its impact. SO5: Ensuring the project sustainability after its end by assuring the access to project outputs to enable transformation and change.

โ–ถActivities

During the 36 months of the project, numerous activities were carried out, which can be summarized as follows: REGARDING THE IMPLEMENTATION ACTIVITIES OF THE CROCEMS PROJECT: - Development of a Quality Assurance and Risk Management plan, as well as monitoring, control and evaluation of the processes. - Creation of a Dissemination and Communication plan, along with the production of dissemination materials and implementation of various dissemination activities. - A Joint Article Publication in the proceeding of the Conference EDULEARN 2024. - Creation and maintenance of the Project Website. - Organization of 5 Transnational Project Meetings (TPMs), one in each partner's facilities. REGARDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CROCEMS PROJECT RESULTS: - PR1: Analysis on current needs for waste management. - PR2: Joint Curriculum and Educational Philosophy - PR3: Collaborative Training Platform - PR4: Training Content Development - PR5: Blueprint for the Implementation of Circular Economy in Manufacturing Sectors Finally, five multiplier events were organized, one per partner, with the purpose of presenting CROCEMS results.

โ–ถImpact

The CROCEMS project produced five key results. First, an analysis of current waste management needs identified required skills and profiled successful case studies in Circular Economy (CE) and Waste Management (WM). Surveys were then developed to assess knowledge, training gaps, and practical experiences with Collaborative Robotics in CE/WM. Second, a Joint Curriculum and Educational Philosophy was created for diverse learners, including HE/VET students, workers, and managers. Third, an e-learning platform was launched on Moodle, featuring a MOOC with digital, flexible learning tools. Fourth, six training modules were developed and piloted with over 110 participants, including a mini project competition. Lastly, a Blueprint was created to align CE education across regions, supported by a Memorandum of Understanding signed by 11+ stakeholders.
