European Green Ambassators:

We applied for the EUGREENAM project to address the need for youth workers to adapt to the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus, enhancing their skills in sustainability and green job opportunities. The project responds to the growing youth unemployment crisis, worsened by COVID-19, integrating green transition principles into youth work methodologies. It also promotes traditional sustainable jobs as alternatives for young people at risk of exclusion. The partners identified gaps in youth work related to green skills and employment, requiring new strategies and best practices. Fostering transnational cooperation, the project builds a learning network, empowering youth workers to support young people’s socio-labor inclusion through green entrepreneurship, traditional crafts, and climate-conscious professions.

The EUGREENAM project aimed to equip youth workers with skills and knowledge on the European Green Deal and New European Bauhaus, enabling them to support young people’s socio-labor inclusion through green jobs. Iimplementing training, hackathons, and knowledge exchanges, the project empowered youth workers to integrate green transition principles into their daily activities, increasing awareness of sustainability, climate action, and employment opportunities for young people at risk of exclusion.

The EUGREENAM project implemented key activities to enhance youth workers' skills and promote the green transition: - Kick-off meeting & good practices exchange (Agost, Spain) – Established project objectives and shared initial best practices. - Short-term training course (Rotterdam, Netherlands) – Focused on adapting youth work methods to sustainability and green jobs. - Green Hackathon I (Riga, Latvia) – Explored EU Green Deal principles, exchanging innovative ideas and best practices. - Green Hackathon II (Agost, Spain) – Raised awareness and developed strategies for spreading Green Deal values. - Final meeting & project conference (Berlin, Germany) – Evaluated project outcomes and ensured long-term sustainability. These activities strengthened transnational collaboration, improved youth work methodologies, and promoted green employment opportunities for young people.

The EUGREENAM project delivered key concrete outputs and results, including: - Improved youth work methodologies integrating green skills and sustainability. - Enhanced skills of youth workers, enabling them to support young people in green jobs and entrepreneurship. - Two Green Hackathons fostering innovative solutions for implementing the EU Green Deal in youth work. - A short-term training course equipping participants with practical tools for green transition strategies. - Stronger transnational cooperation among partners, creating a sustainable learning network. - Increased awareness among young people about climate action, sustainable jobs, and the European Green Deal. The project empowered youth workers to drive green employment initiatives and support young people at risk of exclusion.
